Repair instructions for indoor fabrics.

When you have a hole or a tear in fabric used indoor we recommend  you to use Fusible web product to repair the problem.

In an interior of a Yacht there are often more delicate fabrics used. Therefore we recommend to use the Fusible web product instead if the Tear-Aid material that we use for outdoor. The Fusible web material is more supple and pliant.

Step 1: A whole or tear in a fabric can easily arise.  Examine the tear.

Step 2: We always apply the Fusible web material on the outside / backside of the fabric. In case of hole in a pillow cover we need to take off the cover from the pillow and turn the cover inside out.

Step 3: Examine the hole or tear on this side. Pull all the loose fibres to the inside of the pillow/  backside of the fabric. Flatten the fabric.

Step 4: Cut a piece of the fusible web material in the preferred size. For an optimal fixation of the Fusible web material the cut out piece needs approx. 2 cm of coverage on both sides of the tear. It prefers that the corners of the Fusible web material are cut in a round shape.

Step 5:Turn on your iron/flat iron on and put the temperature indication on 2 dots heat. Wait till the iron is warm.  Put the Fusible web material over the hole/tear. Gently iron the fusible web material on the fabric making small circular movements with your iron. Use the iron for about 8 seconds.

Step 6: Check the hole/tear on the correct side and see the result. In case it is needed you can carefully apply some super glue.
